Research has shown how important YOU are to your children and how as a dad the things you do, and keep on doing, really count, whether you live with them, or you are a single dad and are only able see them once a month, once a week or more, what you do really matters. This site is dedicated to all dads but will be of special relevance to the single dad. Remember, you are half the reason your children exist and they need you whether you live with them or not. As their dad, you have what it takes to make their lives successful and fulfilling no matter how often you see them. This site is about all the positive things that we as parents have to offer our children.

Make Melros's Famous Miniature Dragon's Egg Pendant suitable for display or apparel
ach morning after breakfast, I set aside two hours to attend to my post bag. I call it, “my armchair adventuring”, because never a day goes by when I am not somehow transported to a distant realm by the opening of an envelope or interesting looking package, the contents of which take me on a voyage of discovery and rapture, all in the comfort of my own study, and even before the luncheon gong has sounded. However, occasionally something truly special lands on my desk which grabs my attention so fully as to utterly banish any thought of eating and all the duties planned for the remainder of the day. On one such occasion, about a year ago now, I received an unassuming letter from an experienced explorer called Melros. The letter contained four miniature dragon’s eggs which although looked harmless enough, had caused her some considerable problems. She had disguised them as pendants, but when that failed to stop the unwanted interest in her belongings that the eggs had promoted, she had sent them to me for safe keeping.
The first letter I received from Melros with the gorgeous miniature Wisp Dragon's Eggs Pendant enclosed.
An hour or two in the library revealed that they were not only extremely rare examples of petrified Wisp Dragon Eggs, but some of the finest examples of them as well. I had heard, many years before, that something about miniature dragon’s eggs attracts Dragon Imps which can be more than a little bothersome, as they swarm over one’s property, in their attempts to find and recover the eggs. However, further research established that it was possible to block the effect and therefore avoid attracting the impish pests by storing the eggs in a lead lined box, and while I had the workshop make the required piece of equipment, I had them locked safely in the vault.
The letter I wrote back to Melros enclosing a copy of the photograph of the original lead lined box made over 100 years ago.
Of course, it goes without saying that I wrote back to Melros by return, offering to keep the eggs out of harm's way until she needed them. I also started a project to investigate the possibility of using a transparent material to house the eggs instead of the traditional lead, and yet that would still mask their broadcast. We have had some luck with quartz, but it is too early to know for sure if the crystalline substance suppresses the eggs signal and therefore will protect us from being invaded by Dragon Imps. As a stop-gap measure I have had instructions drawn up to enable the manufacture of replicas so that these beautiful objects might be displayed in the Melros Museum.
. . .
As I know how interested you are in such diversions, I hereby provide you with the self same instructions, which you should follow if you wish to make one or two of these exquisite pieces for yourself. They make charming pendants and never fail to elicit a comment or two from admirers every time they are worn. As usual, for your convenience, the instructions are provided in either A4 or United States Letter format.

The Dragonry
 |
|

For all those who may think, in their more reckless moments, that it might be easier to steal a golden egg from under the warm belly of a gently sleeping dragon than would be to make one, it might be wise to heed the text of this ancient rhyme...

Here you'll find so much more than dragons; you'll find projects that make it possible to create fantastic stories and games of your own. Every project is totally original and explained with simple illustrated downloads so that you can do the project together or (depending on age) your child can do it on their own, with a little help from you at key stages, and make something that really looks gorgeous.
All the projects are of the highest quality, because quality and attention to detail are very important to children.
So set your imagination alight with our wonderful dragons projects. Follow the story of Kaptin Scarlet, the famous philanthropist, whose 19th Century adventuring to bring back numerous weird and wonderful artifacts was the delight and fascination of civilized Victorian society. His motto, Life is Your Adventure, is as true now as it ever was, and is perfect for kids and dads everywhere, so make it yours and make the most of the time you spend together.
