Research has shown how important YOU are to your children and how as a dad the things you do, and keep on doing, really count, whether you live with them, or you are a single dad and are only able see them once a month, once a week or more, what you do really matters. This site is dedicated to all dads but will be of special relevance to the single dad. Remember, you are half the reason your children exist and they need you whether you live with them or not. As their dad, you have what it takes to make their lives successful and fulfilling no matter how often you see them. This site is about all the positive things that we as parents have to offer our children.

Scrumptious D'oh-nuts

Yes after a long wait, the Simpson’s Movie finally hit the big screen. To celebrate we launched a special doughnut project. It’s really got you going. Can you believe that these three doughnuts have been made from a load of old carrier bags, some masking tape and glue gun glue? Even knowing that, these still look good enough to eat.
. . .
Easy to follow instructions oh how you can make your own Homer Simpson style doughnut just like these can be found here .
Dominic’s D’oh-nut
My dad helped me with my doughnut. We painted the icing pink and then use clear spray paint to make it shiny and stick the sugar strands on, which my mum bought those specially.
Hey looks superb and great dedication from the whole family, but you know you’re not really meant to eat it … don’t you!

Matt’s D’oh-nut
Ok. I finally completed this project. This was really a lot of fun to make. The biggest challenge was getting the drips to look right. I think they turned out pretty well, but with some practice I think they could look better.
. . .
Both of my boys (2 & 4) thought the donut was real when I was finished. I got a kick out of their reactions.
. . .
Here is a picture of the finished product.
I think the d’oh-nut looks brilliant, can see why they were fooled!

Yipyop’s lovely doughnuts
I made some donuts this weekend, and also wanted to avoid using sugar sprinkles. I found long, thin, flexible plastic tubing for making dangly keychains and stuff at the craft store. They come in a package of rainbow colors that can be cut to sprinkle size and have the same looking texture.
. . .This is such a fun and easy project, I may make a whole box of them to leave in my company's kitchen.
Good tip, and that sounds like a great idea, perhaps they’d be forbidden doughnuts…
