Research has shown how important YOU are to your children and how as a dad the things you do, and keep on doing, really count, whether you live with them, or you are a single dad and are only able see them once a month, once a week or more, what you do really matters. This site is dedicated to all dads but will be of special relevance to the single dad. Remember, you are half the reason your children exist and they need you whether you live with them or not. As their dad, you have what it takes to make their lives successful and fulfilling no matter how often you see them. This site is about all the positive things that we as parents have to offer our children.

Your Shirt Designs

If you take a blank sheet of paper and use the fold up shirt (A4) (US Letter) instructions and make a shirt, then you can design or decorate it anyway you want. It’s such an easy project and the possibilities are endless. Here are some great examples of what you can do with a blank shirt and a bit of imagination. Once you’ve designed your shirt, why not send us a scan or a nice photo of your best designs, we’d love to see them (details of how to do this at the bottom of the page).
Adam’s Military Jacket
I made the arms from a separate piece of paper, and I think they really finish off the design, and I used a gold shiny sticker for the medal."
We love the addition of the arms and the way Adam has coloured in the inside of the collar and the lapels to match the cuffs.

We’ve made this into a project so now you can make Adam’s Military Shirt yourself.
Josie’s French Maid’s Blouse
If you are going to make one of these for yourself, you can make the three coloured badges any colour you want.
We love the dramatic black and white with sparing use of that tiny splash of colour on the badges and the pocket; all very stylish, If you make one of these why not use beads or drops of glue gun glue for the jewel-like broach.

We’ve made this into a project so now you can make Josie’s French Maid’s Blouse yourself.
Dominic’s Sheriff Woody’s Cowboy Shirt
I wanted it to look like Sheriff Woody. I liked the bright colours and cow skin pattern on the waistcoat. I made lots of shirts but this was the best. If you put this on dadcando as a project could you make sure the word Sheriff shows up on the star badge.
We love the bright colours Dominic has used, and the fact that he has used gold pen for the badge to make it look as real as possible.

We’ve made this into a project so now you can make Dominic’s Woody’s Cowboy Shirt yourself.
James’s school boy shirt
I memorized the shirt instructions and made loads of shirts at school for my friends, and then I thought I would design one just like a school shirt. It was difficult getting the leaking biro ink stain to look just right.
I love that pocket ink stain… but does it remind you of anything in a Rorschach Ink Blot kind of way?

We’ve made this into a project so now you can make the Schoolboy Shirt
yourself.
(BTW if you would like to send in a picture, leave a comment and your email address by clicking here and we’ll email you back with our email address so that you can send in your pictures, and if we like them, we’ll put them up on line, and if they’re as good as these, we might even make them into dadcando projects, and credit you as the designer, so that everyone else can have a go at making Your Design!)
