Cautionary Tales For Children
Wonderful witty poems great for reading to your children. The stories and rhymes will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
Research has shown how important YOU are to your children and how as a dad the things you do, and keep on doing, really count, whether you live with them, or you are a single dad and are only able see them once a month, once a week or more, what you do really matters. This site is dedicated to all dads but will be of special relevance to the single dad. Remember, you are half the reason your children exist and they need you whether you live with them or not. As their dad, you have what it takes to make their lives successful and fulfilling no matter how often you see them. This site is about all the positive things that we as parents have to offer our children.
Stardust
A superbly realised fairytale for the modern viewer with more than enough action intrigue and good old fashioned entertainment values for all the family for repeated viewings

Stardust (2007)
Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert De Niro
A refreshingly original film more in the style and genre of one of Disney's live action family classics than today's big-battle, Gothic fantasies, Stardust has nough magic about it to make it the perfect family film. . . .
Having never known his mother, Tristan has been brought up by his father in a tiny, peaceful hamlet somewhere in the heart of the English countryside. As he grows into a young man, he believes he can win the heart of the girl he loves by bringing her a fallen star. The journey to find the star takes him into a magical realm, where he discovers that the star is in fact a strong and beautiful woman and he is not just an average boy from a small village in England. The trouble starts when Tristan encounters three ancient witches and a family of power crazed fratricidal princes who also want the power of the fallen star. Helped on his way by a cross dressing pirate who masks his artistic tendencies with "harsh pirate talk" and chased by the witches that turn goats into barmen and would kill the star to regain their youth, the journey brings Tristan and his true love together and he discovers both his inheritance and his destiny. . . .
In common with just about every traditional fairytale this is a story of a journey of discovery, however, unlike just about every other magical fantasy told on film in recent years, this story doesn’t involve endless running over rainy mountainsides or huge set piece battles. . . .
A great one to watch with the kids, quirky, laugh out loud funny, engaging and with a happy ending, everything a fairy tale should be, we loved it and I’m sure you will too.
